German Manufacture PVL 6 & 12 Volt Coils
391-45275/A (6 Volt) &
391-45276/A (12 Volt) German Manufacture PVL brand ignition coils are virtually
identical to the 1-1/2" diameter original British made 17M6 AND 17M12 Lucas
coils, and actually have been supplied by Lucas as genuine equipment after they
discontinued making motorcycle coils in England. Exact duplicate economy
replacement coils also available from BCS by putting /B after the coil numbers
above instead of /A. Unlike "universal" coils, all of the above coils have the
short coil towers to allow them to work under the seat on oilframe BSA and
Triumph twins, as well as on all other models.
For those who wish to maintain the original appearance when restoring earlier
model motorcycles supplied with the large MA type 1-7/8" diameter coils, we have
genuine Lucas 45110 (12 Volt) and 45152 (6 Volt) coils in stock.
Brackets are in stock for both size coils, as well as grommets for oilframe
model coil mounting and sparkplug wire kits.
